New Delhi-Mercedes-Benz India has launched two new luxury sports cars in the Indian market — the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and AMG GT Pro. These are both two-door coupe sports cars that were discontinued in 2020. After five years, the company has reintroduced them in India.

The starting ex-showroom price of the GT 63 is ₹3 crore, while the ex-showroom price of the GT 63 Pro is ₹3.65 crore. These cars will be brought to India for sale as Completely Built Units (CBUs), meaning they will be fully assembled in Germany before being imported.
In the ₹3 crore price range, these cars will compete with models like the Lamborghini Temerario and Porsche 911 Turbo S. While the overall design remains similar to the previous versions, they now feature a retuned engine and a newly designed cabin with a 4-seater layout.
The company states that these are their most performance-oriented AMG GT cars to date. They are designed to perform on both the racetrack and regular roads. According to the company, the car can reach a top speed of 317 km/h.

Performance:
With a power output of 612 hp and a top speed of 317 km/h, both cars feature a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine designed for performance. This engine is hand-built, meaning each one is crafted by a master craftsman.
In the AMG GT 63, this engine produces 585 hp of power and 800 Nm of torque. According to the company, the AMG GT 63 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds with this engine. Its top speed is 315 km/h.
In the AMG GT 63 Pro, the same engine produces 612 hp of power and 850 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. Its top speed is 317 km/h. Not only that, it reaches 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds.
Talking about the transmission, both cars come equipped with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission paired with the engine. They also feature the 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, which distributes power to all four wheels. The GT 63 Pro also includes a Drift Mode, which doubles the thrill for racing enthusiasts.
Both cars come with driving modes including Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, and Race. Additionally, the GT 63 Pro is equipped with ceramic brakes and track-ready features, making it perfect for the racing track.
